Controller

Susana Vázquez Corte, an individual developer based in Spain, is the controller for MadeTime. Contact: madetime@realpace.app.

Information used by the app

  • Opaque app, category, and website tokens selected through Apple Family Controls.
  • Today’s step count, read from Apple Health after permission is granted.
  • Reward balance, configuration, session dates and reserved minutes, and settings needed to provide and safely restore restrictions.

This information is processed to provide the features requested by the user under GDPR Article 6(1)(b). Step data is accessed with explicit consent under Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a). MadeTime reads no other HealthKit data and does not write to Apple Health.

The app has no account, analytics, advertising, tracking, or MadeTime backend. App selections, step data, rewards, and sessions are not transmitted to MadeTime or used for advertising, profiling, or data mining.

Storage, retention, and deletion

App data is stored on the iPhone. The raw step count is not persisted. Opaque selections, configuration, sessions, and settings remain until changed or deleted. The derived reward ledger is stored locally and excluded from device backups. Other local preferences and opaque selections may be included in an Apple device backup if the user enables that service.

“Delete All MadeTime Data” in app Settings removes MadeTime’s local data and restrictions. To remove Screen Time access, use “Remove Screen Time Access” in MadeTime Settings. To change Health access, open the Health app, tap Summary, tap your picture or initials, then tap Apps, MadeTime, and Steps. Apple controls the retention of existing device backups.

Website and support email

The static website has no analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or forms. Cloudflare Pages processes technical request and security information needed to deliver and protect the site. This processing is based on the controller’s legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f). MadeTime does not receive or retain these logs; Cloudflare retains them as needed to provide and secure its service.

If you email MadeTime, the controller receives your email address, message, and any information you choose to include to respond to your request. This is based on Article 6(1)(b) where the request concerns the service and otherwise on the legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Article 6(1)(f). Messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the request or comply with legal obligations.

Recipients and international transfers

If the user enables device backups, Apple may receive the local preferences and opaque selections described above. Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and routes the support address. The controller’s mailbox provider receives support messages. Where these providers process relevant information outside the European Economic Area, they rely on an applicable adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses. Details are available in the Apple Privacy Policy, the Cloudflare Privacy Policy, or by contacting the controller. MadeTime does not share HealthKit data or Family Controls tokens with advertising or analytics providers.

Your choices and rights

Apple Health and Screen Time permissions are optional. Screen Time access can be removed from MadeTime Settings. Health access can be changed in the Health app by opening Summary, tapping your picture or initials, then choosing Apps, MadeTime, and Steps. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. MadeTime does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Where applicable, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or portability by emailing madetime@realpace.app. You may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence, place of work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.
